Yom Kippur Fast Friendly Yoga & Somatics

  • Ashreynu 2114 30th Avenue Queens, NY, 11102 United States (map)

Ease yourself into the conclusion of Yom Kippur with a gentle yoga practice led by Anastasia Nevin. Created through conversations between Rabbi Pearl and Anastasia, this half hour session will integrate the body into the Yom Kippur experience. Designed to support the fast, we’ll connect to our own bodies just before Ne’ilah, looking inwards to feel the words of the liturgy as we become more present with ourselves and God/the Divine..

Anastasia Nevin is a Registered Dietitian, Yoga Teacher, and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with an integrative health private practice in NYC. Anastasia brings her love of movement, mindfulness, and study of the nervous system into spaces that help support healing, embodiment and deeper connection. She is honored to have this new and exciting opportunity to merge her yoga background with her Jewish roots and beloved community at Ashreynu.

Open to anyone and everyone: this practice is created to be accessible for all bodies, ages, and abilities. No prior experience with yoga is necessary. Mats are not needed, although you are welcome to bring your own.
